Common Issues and Solutions

Bank Won't Connect

Try these steps:

  1. Verify you're using the correct login credentials
  2. Check if your bank requires multi-factor authentication (2FA)
  3. Make sure your bank account is active and not locked
  4. Contact your bank to ensure third-party access isn't blocked
  5. Try disconnecting and reconnecting in app Settings

If none of these work, email us with your bank name.

Transactions Not Syncing

Possible causes:

  • Bank sync can take 15 minutes to 24 hours depending on your bank
  • No internet connection on your device
  • Bank connection expired (try reconnecting)
  • Bank is performing maintenance

What to do:

  • Pull down on the transactions list to manually refresh
  • Check Settings to see if your bank is still connected
  • Wait up to 24 hours for sync to complete
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting your bank

Push Notifications Not Working

Check these settings:

  1. iPhone Settings → Notifications → Spenvelopes → Allow Notifications: ON
  2. Spenvelopes app Settings → Enable Notifications
  3. Make sure Do Not Disturb is off
  4. Check that you have an active internet connection
  5. Try toggling notifications off and back on in the app

iCloud Backup Issues

If your budget data isn't backing up to iCloud:

  • Check Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → make sure iCloud Drive is enabled
  • Make sure Spenvelopes has iCloud access: Settings → Spenvelopes → iCloud
  • Verify you have enough iCloud storage space available
  • Give it a few minutes—backup can take time over cellular
  • Try toggling iCloud backup off and back on in app Settings

Subscription and Billing

To manage your subscription:

  1. Open iPhone Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find Spenvelopes
  5. Here you can cancel, change plans, or view billing history

For refund requests:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Sign in with your Apple ID
  • Find your Spenvelopes charge
  • Select "Request a refund" and follow the prompts
